Integration guide

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to PasoPaso, and what you decide in conversation becomes today's step.

Go to chatgpt.com and open Settings from your profile icon.
Under Security and login, turn on Developer mode.
Open Explore plugins under Plugins and click the + button in the top right.
Enter a name (e.g. PasoPaso) and a description, and choose Server URL under Connection.
Paste the PasoPaso MCP URL below, choose OAuth for Authentication, and click Create.
Click the sign-in button and sign in with your PasoPaso account to allow access.

Verify connection

In a new conversation, enable it from the tools menu and send "What are today's tasks?" You may be asked to confirm before it creates or edits.

Go to claude.ai and click your profile icon in the bottom left.
Select Settings from the menu.
Click Connectors on the left side.
Click Add in the top right.
Enter a name (e.g. PasoPaso) and paste the PasoPaso MCP URL below into the MCP server URL field.
Click Continue, then Connect, and sign in with your PasoPaso account.

In a new conversation, click + at the bottom, enable it under Connectors, and send "What are today's tasks?"

PasoPaso hands its goal-setting guide to the AI through MCP, so Claude and ChatGPT follow the same approach.

2. One level at a time

Goal: "Run 10 km without stopping", due in three months. Saved. Next, milestones: how far can you run right now without stopping?

About 2 km. I can run three times a week.

Then three milestones, each a state you can check, and only the distance grows: 1) Can run 4 km without stopping (in 3 weeks) 2) Can run 6 km without stopping (in 6 weeks) 3) Can run 8 km without stopping (in 9 weeks). That leaves 3 weeks to reach 10 km. If that works, I'll create them.

Say the wish as it is. The AI first asks what "done" looks like, then breaks it into milestones and this week's tasks.
Today
"What are today's tasks?"

Lists today's to-dos and what to start with.
Move
"The 2 km run is done."

Name the task and it is marked done and added to your progress.
Skip
"Skip the run, please."

Skips a to-do you have decided not to do. It leaves the list but is not deleted, and comes back if you unskip it.
Adjust
"Move the deadline to the end of next month."

Changes details or deadlines of goals, milestones, and to-dos, exactly as you said.

The AI can create, edit, complete, and skip. Deleting goals or tasks is only possible in the app.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is the MCP integration free?

Yes. It works on the Free plan, with a monthly limit on creating and editing from the AI (reading, completing, and skipping do not count). The Plus plan has no monthly limit. See plans and limits

Do I need a PasoPaso account?

Yes. On first connection you sign in to PasoPaso and allow access. Guest mode (no account) cannot connect, because its data lives only on your device.

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external apps securely. Once connected, the AI can read and write data within the access you allowed.

The sign-in screen does not appear.

Check that the MCP URL has no extra spaces or trailing path. In ChatGPT, also check that Developer mode is turned on.

Which plans can use it?

Claude works on every plan, including Free (Free accounts can add one custom connector). ChatGPT requires Developer mode on the web; which plans include it and whether write actions are available depends on OpenAI's current guidance.

Is my data safe?

PasoPaso authenticates with OAuth 2.1. The AI can only touch your data after you sign in and allow it, and it cannot delete anything. To disconnect, remove PasoPaso from the settings in Claude or ChatGPT.
